A commission may be requested for a solo work or chamber work consisting of any ensemble up to and including 10 instruments, counting separate vocal parts each as an “instrument.” Almost any combination of instruments in either a contemporary style or an "After" work will be considered. Works in the “After” series imitate the styles of older composers such as Brahms, Mendelssohn, Dvořák, Glière, Tchaikovsky, Poulenc, Joplin, and Vierne, but with music targeted for instruments for which those composers never wrote.
