An Excellent Wife was written for my mother as a surprise for her on the occasion of her and my father's 50th wedding anniversary in 1996. The text is my own version of Proverbs chapter 31, which gives the characteristics of a God-fearing wife, most applicable to my mother, as she was the most godly woman I have ever known, and was a beautiful model of this portion of Scripture.
